Jamming at the Drill Hall

Jamming at the Drill Hall

Saturday 19 September, 1.00 pm – 4.00 pm

On Saturday 19 September, Wendy and Rose went to the Drill Hall to show and share jam and preserving.  This Skills Sharing  event was organised by Lincoln Volunteer Centre and Transition Lincoln, the event aimed to teach local people new, ancient and perhaps forgotten skills to help them through these times of climate change, economic crisis and peak oil.  We were kept very busy, learning a lot ourselves too. Our tasty jam samples were very popular.

There were workshops and demonstrations about a wide range of skills including bread making, quilt making, bee keeping, making a greenhouse out of plastic bottles, knitting and lots more.

The Drill Hall was full of enthusiastic people of all ages very keen to learn something new or share some of their own tips with others!
