Permaculture Group Meeting 5 June 2010

Permaculture Group Meeting 5 June 2010

On a sunny, windy day Transition Town Horncastle’s Permaculture Group were welcomed by Charlotte & Bill to their plot for the groups June meeting. The plot is several acres of mostly rough grass with a small area used for growing vegetables and a green house. The group had a tour round to look at the work already done and in progress. Over lunch Deano led a discussion on how best to apply Permaculture ideas to helping Charlotte achieve her aim of producing enough food for her family. The discussion centered mainly on ways to improve the poor soil quality and on tree planting to provide wind breaks and wood for fuel.

The group meets monthly, on the morning of the first Saturday of each month.  If you would like to join please email Deano on deanom@madasafish.com
